be cursed 呪われる。たたられる。
curse カース　呪う、ののしる、苦しめる、悩ます、

嫌なことがあったときの悪態にもなります。
「Curse it!」ちくしょう！

他にも、「呪われる」の意味では、

haunt ホーンは、ディズニーランドのホーンテッドマンションが有名ですね。
幽霊がうろつく、幽霊がよく出るという意味から、
取り憑かれる、悪夢に付きまとわれるという意味になるらしい。

doom ドゥームは、悲運、悪い運命、破滅、神の最後の審判の意味から、呪われるに。

ちなみにスラングで、「くそ！」「ちくしょう」「しまった」や、「ひどい」「すごい」とかに、
「damn！」ダァム！を使うのですが、
これも、「呪う」という意味があるようです。
damned ダムド　になると、名詞で地獄の亡者たち、地獄におとされた。
